I’ll be the first one to admit that I haven’t really paid attention to this tournament. I’m a fan of the Olympics and all but I figure there are a few reasons that I haven’t been as interested in this tournament.
1. It’s not promoted or televised that much here in USA. Even though there are NBA star players, the media doesn’t really due the tournament justice.
2. I only care about USA basketball. Okay that statement is not really true, but I haven’t bought in to the whole European craze yet. Their players are just as talented but I don’t have any loyalty so most of their player. It kind of turns me off when I can’t say the player’s name or can’t really tell who is on the court.
With all that being said, I want to give this competition its due. Here are a couple great articles that will update you what it going on.
